How To Choose The Best Chiropractic Website

Last Updated: May 31, 2019

Today there are dozens of companies in the chiropractic field that are producing chiropractic websites.  If you’re like me you want to have the best, so how do you know if you have the best website?  I might be biased in this area, but I’ll do my best in this article to pull back the curtain on our industry.  In the tips below I’ll teach you what you should be asking and looking for.

What is the Focus of the Website?

One of the things that most chiropractors overlook is the simplest concept.  Is the purpose of your website to educate patients or is it to generate new patients?  Having practiced for a number of years I can tell you that chiropractic websites are a bad place to try to educate patients.  The focus of your site really needs to be on new patient generation.

Most websites today lack a clear call to action.  They are filled with pages of useless information that potential new patients are not interested in.  The website should be easy to look at.  You can’t tell patients about everything you do in your practice on your homepage.  Stay focused on getting them to take action.  You can teach them all about your office once there are actually there.

Where Did Your Chiropractic Website Team Come From?

Let me ask you this question, would you rather have a team of people building your internet presence that has worked in your profession, or a team of people that has never worked in your profession?  Now you might say that you want the most knowledgeable people, but what if you could have both.  What if you could have a team of people that truly understands chiropractic, chiropractic marketing, and that has expert internet marketing skills.  There are very few companies in any profession that have this type of experience.  Talk to your potential provider and learn about their background.

Is Your Website Company Clear About What They Do?

I talk to doctors on, a regular basis, that have no idea what their chiropractic website company is doing for them.  They are making payments each month with the hope that someone will take care of them, and they end up disappointed.  The truth is that in many cases very little if anything is being done for them.  Their website is sitting idle in a hosting account collecting dust.

The problem is that most chiropractors do not have enough knowledge on this subject to know what to look for.  It’s important to find a provider that can clearly explain things to you.  Many companies hire salesmen to answer their phones.  They know little about internet marketing and tend to give vague answers when you ask them questions.  Look for the person that can give you in-depth details.  You’ll know when you’ve found someone that knows what they are talking about.

What is Your Chiropractic Website Company Doing for SEO?

It’s hard to find a chiropractic website company that doesn’t say they do SEO, but what does that mean?  It means that they are doing things to increase the popularity of your website in search engines like Google.  This topic sounds simple on the surface, but there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Many companies that say they do SEO are really doing nothing, but because most chiropractors don’t know what to look for they get away with it.  There are also companies that are doing SEO, but doing it in a way that can get your website filtered, penalized, or banned.  Ask your providers for exact details of what they are going to be doing for you.  A true expert will give you more detail than you care for, but then you know you’ve made a great choice.

I hope the tips in this article have given you some insight into what you should be asking.  Don’t be afraid to ask direct questions, and do your homework.  Everyone will tell you that they have the best product.  It’s up to you to find the company that is right for you.
