Are You Overpaying For A Chiropractic Website?

Last Updated: May 23, 2019

I spend a lot of my time each day working with chiropractors on their websites.  At this point I believe I’ve spoken with people that have websites from every possible chiropractic provider.  Over the last two years I’ve had the chance to see what people are getting for what they’re paying and in many cases I think the doctors would be surprised by what they are actually paying for.

Let’s face it, you probably don’t know everything you need to know about internet marketing.  You don’t really understand what it takes to build a website, manage social media, etc.  You’re at the mercy of internet marketing companies.  You have to hope that they are going to be honest with you and charge you a reasonable fee for their services.

Should you Pay a Website Setup Fee?

Some chiropractic website companies charge setup fees and some don’t?  My personal opinion is that if you are paying a monthly fee you shouldn’t have to pay for the setup.  The setup of most sites does not take a great deal of time.  At Inception we do more detailed setup then anyone I’m aware of and we don’t feel a setup fee is necessary.
If you are paying a setup fee then I would ask what exactly they have to do for you and how long it’s going to take them.  Some of the companies that have the largest setup fees do the smallest amount of setup.  Ask questions and it will be harder for you to be taken advantage of.

What Should You Pay Per Month?

If you’re paying $600 or more per month then there’s a good chance you’re being overcharged.  Most of the companies that charge this amount are also adding in Google Adwords pay per click, but you usually don’t get told how much is going into that.  So you might be being charged $700 per month.  Some of that money is going into PPC, but you don’t know how much.  Most companies won’t tell you how much is going into the Google cost because you would then know how much profit they are taking for themselves.

At Inception Chiropractic Websites we are very open about our cost.   Our clients cost is based on city size and competition.  All of our clients get all of our services, and if they choose to do Google Adwords we can do that as well.  We do not charge at this time for setting up Adwords accounts and managing them.  The full money that our clients choose to put into Adwords goes into Adwords.  In that way we are not biased in our advice and our clients get the most out of their money.

To know how much you  should spend on a chiropractic website you have to look at return on investment.  If you spend $50 per month and you get $0 or you spend $300 per month and you get $4000 then you should spend $300.  You don’t want to be overspending, but you have to spend some money to make money online.

I you have further questions about what we do at Inception please don’t hesitate to call.  I’m here to answer an questions that you have.  We will work together to make a plan that fits your office.
