Are You Under Paying For Your Chiropractic Website?

We’re all looking for a deal right?  We want to get the lowest price we can on everything, but is the lowest cost chiropractic website the best for your practice?  You’re probably going to assume that I’m going to say no, but don’t be so sure.  For some practices I think the lowest price website is the best option.  In this post I’m going to discuss the difference between what we do at Inception Chiropractic Websites, and what some of the lowest cost competitors we have do.  My goal in writing this article is not to sway you one way or the other, but to instead help you to clearly see the difference.  From there you can make an informed decision about what is right for your practice.

Let’s start by talking about the cost of websites.  In the chiropractic field you will see costs range from $39 per month up to $2500 per month.  In my personal opinion if you are paying over $500 per month on one website then you’re probably overpaying, but it depends on what the provider is doing for you.  On the low end you’ll  see pricing from $39 to $150 from the majority of big name companies.

At Inception we have an average cost of about $249 per month.  We offer what I believe is the largest number of high quality services to our clients at that cost, but for an uneducated consumer it can seem like the $39 to $150 companies are doing the same and more.  The devil is in the details, and unfortunately for many chiropractors they don’t have enough understanding to ask about the details.

An Example to Consider

So here’s a sample of what I’m talking about.  At Inception we do blog posting for our clients.  A number of other companies do blog posting for their clients as well.  It would appear that we are doing the same thing, but remember it’s about the details.  When we do a blog post at Inception we post it by hand, optimize it for your city, and put links inside the blog post to other parts of your website.  All of this tedious work helps your site to rank better.

A company in the $39 to $150 range will do blog posts in this way.  They do one post onto a website that feeds out to all their other websites.  They don’t put your city or office name into the post.  They don’t optimize it or put any links into it.  It has relatively no positive impact on your rank, and may in fact be hurting your rank.

Now when I’m saying this I’m generalizing and not every company does things this way, but many do from what I’ve seen.   This is one small example of the difference, but there are many more.  Achieving a top Google rank is difficult.  Your provider needs to be doing everything they can to help you get there, and in most cases the lower cost companies are not doing much.

If you really look at what they are doing for you, most of their work happens in the initial setup.  Once that’s done you’re pretty much sitting idle in their hosting account.  If you have the impression that someone is watching over your personal site and working on it each month, you’re going to be disappointed.  Companies that have thousands of clients don’t have time to be working on your personal website.

My Advice on Chiropractic Website Cost

What you pay for a chiropractic website should be based on what your goals are.  If you want to be the market leader with a top Google rank then you should be working with us at Inception.  The cost we have and the services we provide are a no brainer.  On the other hand if you have an office that is not concerned with those things then a low cost website may be perfect for you.

There are some very nice looking low cost sites on the market.  They can be a great way for you to have an online presence without the added cost.  There are only about 4 or 5 people in any given city that will have a chance to do well online.  The few people that do well are the people that have a top ranking site.  From time to time the lower cost companies get lucky and rank well, but if you want to know you’re going to get to the top it’s important to be working with a company that’s really working for you.

If you have questions about the services we offer at Inception please don’t hesitate to give us a call.  I will personally walk you through what we need to do to improve your results.
