Does Facebook Work For Chiropractors?

Last Updated: June 25, 2019

Facebook is a social media giant.  There are over 1 billion active monthly users which makes this a potential gold mine for local chiropractors.  It sounds like a perfect way to be able to market to new potential patients, but is it?  In this article I’m going to break down what I think about Facebook and how you can use it to help your practice.

Chiropractic Facebook Advertising Update - Click Here

What most doctors don’t understand about Facebook is that you have to get people to like you or become friends with you before they can see your posts, and that’s where the big problem comes into play.  How do you get people from your local community to see and like your Fan Page when they don’t know you?  From my experience it’s almost impossible so you’re only option is to use paid Facebook ads to reach out to the people in your area.

I think Facebook ads show real promise, but the details about how you set it up will be critical.  They’re great in that they allow you to target such specific groups of people, but you also have to remember that those people were not necessarily looking for you.  If you’re going to be doing this type of chiropractic marketing you’re going to need to use video and show people quickly why you are the best choice for them.

Facebook’s Value for Current Patients?

I do think that Facebook can be valuable for your current patients.  It’s a great way to keep them updated on your latest offers and information.  I’ve seen a number of chiropractors do very well in this area and it can lead to more referrals.  It’s really an online interactive newsletter.
